St. Simons Island Coffee Shops

We didn’t choose the mug life. The mug life chose us.

Whether it’s your first cup of the morning or your mid-day pick-me-up, parents need coffee, and we need it now! Here is a list of coffee shops on St. Simons Island where you can get a better-than-basic coffee and snack to help amp you up for whatever your kiddos throw at you today (literally and figuratively).

Coffeehouse provides thoughtfully sourced java, tea & retail goods from developing countries, and fresh baked goods. Many people go to Wake Up Coffee to work; note that it can get busy at times, and it can be hard to find an open table. There's also a small outdoor patio to enjoy when the weather is nice.

A funky island favorite serving coffee, casual food, pastries, wine, and craft beer. They have outdoor seating you can enjoy if the weather is nice. Keep an eye on their Instagram page as they often post their live music schedule there.

Enjoy breakfast, lunch, coffee, espresso, teas & all things sweet and savory. All ingredients are sourced locally and baked daily. Go early; baked goods sell quickly, especially on weekends. Dulce Dough was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and had Guy Fieri asking for seconds!

A grab-and-go market offering breakfast and lunch, premade meal selections, coffees, local pantry items, wines, cheese, and gifts. They have outdoor seating which is great for enjoying an al fresco cup of coffee while you work or catch up with a friend.

Cool off with a cone of frozen custard, or grab a fresh cup of Wake-Up Coffee. The Cottage features a castle playground for kids, a lawn sitting area, and a large fire pit. It's the perfect place to go if you need to do a bit of work but also need to keep the kids occupied. Located steps from the beach, grab a cup of Joe before or after a beach walk.

Located in Red Fern Village inside Righton Books (a favorite local bookstore with a great kid's section). Outside seating is available. They offer coffee and espresso drinks, tea from the world-famous Harney & Sons, bagels, and a lovely assortment of delicious, locally baked pastry items.

Coastal Coffee is conveniently located at Morningstar Marina, near Coastal Kitchen and beautiful waterfront views. They serve coffee, tea, smoothies, milkshakes, breakfast, and lunch. The Wi-Fi is free, and there is space to work.
