Elk’s Lodge #691 is partnering with Glynn County Recreation and Parks to bring you the Elk’s Hoop Shoot at Ballard Park Gym (30 Nimitz Drive).
This is a FREE event.
- ***8 AND 9-YEAR-OLDS ON DECEMBER 18 BEGINNING AT 5:00 P.M.
- ***10-13-YEAR-OLDS ON DECEMBER 20 BEGINNING AT 5:00 P.M.***AWARDS BANQUET ON DECEMBER 21 AT THE ELK’S LODGE 691
Contestants will compete in one of six divisions:Boys, ages 8-9 Girls, ages 8-9Boys, ages 10-11 Girls, ages 10-11Boys, ages 12-13 Girls, ages 12-13*Age control date is April 1, 2024.
Contestants will shoot from the Free Throw Line (8-9-year-olds will have a line 4 feet in front of the Free Throw Line). Once they are handed the ball they will have 10 seconds to complete the shot. Each player will shoot 10 shots and there will be a warm-up period before the actual start of the contest.
Winners of the contest will advance through different stages (Local, Districts, State, Regionals, and National Finals in Chicago). Winners of the Nationals will have their names inscribed in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
