Take a ‘cold-stunned’ plunge into the chilly Atlantic in support of sea turtles on the Georgia coast! Join us for this annual fun-and-frigid fundraising event for the Jekyll Island Authority’s Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Many sea turtles get caught in hypothermic water temperatures during the winter months, and your support will assist with cold-stun rehabilitation and recovery. Take the plunge and raise some funds!
Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. in Beach Village. Plungers should be on the beach and ready to plunge at 10:15 a.m. There will be on-site EMS and public safety staff.
All ages are welcome to participate.
All children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the beach.
No refunds, rain or shine event. Canceled for extreme weather conditions only. This event is BYOT: bring your own towel and dry clothes.
