To commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the College of Coastal Georgia is excited to announce its 3rd annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes® event, scheduled for October 11, 2023. This engaging community initiative aims to put an end to domestic, sexual, and gender violence. Men from all walks of life will unite in a spirited demonstration of solidarity by walking a mile in red heels, symbolizing their unwavering support for women everywhere.

The event will also provide a platform to highlight the invaluable efforts of community organizations including Glynn Community Crisis Center, Connie Smith Rape Crisis Center, Georgia Legal Services. These organizations are resolutely dedicated to eradicating violence against women, and their presence will further underscore the event’s commitment to this critical cause.
