Sea Island Holiday Events
If you’re a guest or member of Sea Island (note that you MUST be either of these to access the island - it's not open to the general public), be sure to explore the events they hold throughout the holiday season. There’s fun planned for the whole family, and if you can’t make any of the events, a stroll of the resort grounds is worth a visit as they’re decorated beautifully (make sure you stop in the Solarium and see the life-sized gingerbread house).

The Cloister Colonial Lounge

Celebrate this year’s tree lighting hosted by Santa Claus himself! This is the one annual tradition you don’t want to miss.

The Cloister Clubroom

Calling all chefs in training! Join the Activities staff for a fun-filled hour when Sea Island Kids is transformed into a junior bakery. Create and decorate your sugar cookies along with making other sweet treats to take home.
- Ages 3 and older and must be fully potty trained. Minimum of 5 participants.

Oh, what fun! Santa’s elves have come south to spread Christmas cheer! Put on your best holiday pajamas to join the elves for story time in the Clubroom. Cookies, milk, and hot chocolate will be provided to help you get cozy for story time. The price includes a book signed by your favorite elf. Additional books are available for purchase.

The Ocean Room

Join Santa’s Elves to decorate your own gingerbread house, and get into the holiday spirit! The package includes one Gingerbread House kit and all supplies. This is a drop-in program. Guests are welcome to participate at any time during the duration of the program.

Beach Club Lawn

Join the Activities Staff and honorary judges for the 21st Annual Reindog Parade. Be sure to dress your dogs in their Christmas best. Prizes will be awarded!

Colonial Lounge and Black Banks Terrace

Beach Club

Grab your antlers and sleigh bells for this traditional family fun run – a one-mile jog down the beach. Meet on the Beach Club lawn. A prize will be awarded to the best holiday-dressed runner! Open to all ages.

Join Sea Island’s resident artist for an hour of holiday painting fun! You’ll get to make your very own masterpiece to take home and treasure for years to come. All ages are welcome. All materials will be provided.

Sea Island Kids

Yo, ho, ho! Calling all pirates for some swashbuckling fun with Captain Blackbanks! All young pirates, ages 3-8, are invited to join him to make some pirate crafts, look for treasure, and have some island-hopping fun! Pirate attire is encouraged.

The Cloister Clubroom
